Newcastle is a lively city with close to a million residents. It's known for the friendly people, architecture, and historic culture. The Millennium Bridge, a pedestrian and cyclist tilt bridge, is one of Newcastle's most noteworthy architectural structures and is a sight to be seen when the lights are on at night. Most of the gay bars and clubs are located in the city center near Time Square. The gay area is know to the locals as the "pink triangle." The gay scene here is a bit smaller than the other northern cities like Liverpool and Manchester, but you can have a great time with the locals and maybe find a hidden gem!
